Died in 2023. Worked as a a car dealer in Sydney. Also raced at Bathurst for a while. As well as his car dealership, he worked as a financial broker. Best remembered for his single-seater drives, in Formula Vee and Formula 2 but he was also strong in Formula 5000. Muir's father raced at a local level and Bob's interest grew domestically but Muir also raced in America and came close to getting a one-off drive in 1976 at the US GP at Watkins Glen. A decent touring car driver as well, Bob kept links to the sport.
