Clerk of the Course at the Australian Grand Prix, although Tim also presided over the first Singaporean GP as well. He also represented the CAMS as Director of Racing Operations and was, until 2021, also race director of the Australian V8 Supercars series. He still remains a FIA Platinum track inspector and is mentor to a team of race directors in Australia. In addition, Schenken has a number of business interests in Melbourne. After Formula 1, Schenken largely raced in sportscars before founding the Tiga racing cars business with Howden Ganley. Tim excelled in Formula 3 but his results in Formula 1 were solid rather than spectacular, but he had numerous high-profile wins in sportscars. Tim remains busy and involved in the sport and historics, but recently was hospitalised for diverticulitis, which led to a brief hiatus of the race director role he has held for nigh-on two decades. In 2016, Tim was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his service to motorsport.
