Died after a long illness. Became a team-manager after his driving retirement but towards the end of his life spent a lot of time appearing at reunions and also did after-dinner speaking functions. Frank was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his efforts to motorsport, which included winning the 1971 European Formula 5000 title, and won the British Touring Car Championship three times - in 1967, 1968 and 1973 - whilst he was also a race winner in Formula 2 and in the Tasman Series. Frank also served in the Korean War which interrupted his fledgling career which started as a youngster in speedway events.
