Was long-time owner and team manager of Scuderia Fama, which competed in numerous lower formulae in Italy. Now out of the sport and running his helicopter business, where he builds his own light helicopters. As a racer, Nino enjoyed a long career. He came to prominence by winning the 1983 Formula Fiat Abarth series, before becoming a regular in Italian Formula 3, often with his own team. Nino's longest sustained period of success was in Italian Formula 2000, which, again racing for and running Scuderia Fama, he won the 1991 and 1994 titles and finished third in 1993. He made a surprise return to Italian Formula 3 in 2001 and 2002, this time in the club class, continuing to race in other series until 2008.
