Has driven in a variety of formulae in recent years, but more recently, was seen regularly in GT racing and sportscars. He works as a commentator and Fabio is also a racing instructor, running a number of different courses as either an individual coach or for the CIGS. Mancini started instructing as long ago as 1991. Now lives in Parma. Mancini started his racing career back in 1978 in Italian Super Ford 2000 before moving up to race in Formula Abarth and then Formula 3. Although Fabio has largely been in sportscars - in particular, GT3 or LMP2 cars, he did also race briefly in the DTM back in 1992.
