Now works as a businessman in sales and marketing. Often based in Toronto, Danny returned to Canada after Formula 3000 to continue racing - in Canadian Formula 2000, competing against the likes of Jimmy Vasser. In more recent years, he has appeared in Canadian club racing, competing in stock cars and historic racing, in supermodified cars. Campeau also raced in British Formula 3. Campeau is the adopted son of Robert Campeau, founder of Campeau Corporation, a real estate development and investment company which after a series of troubled takeovers filed for bankruptcy in 1989 and with it, Danny's source of funds to continue racing.
