Benoit was a team manager for some while, often running a respected team under either the Polevision name or under his own surname, either in lower formulae or sportscars. He ran an endurance team, but also acts as a company manager and is an advisor to Joel Camathias. As a driver himself, Benoit was often based in Britain, racing in their Formula Ford and Formula 3 series. Morand's father, Louis, was a engine manufacturer in the 1960's and 1970's. Benoit won the Man of the Year award in the 2014 European Le Mans Series end-of-season awards. In 2019, his team was liquidated due to financial problems and he is now retired from running his team, but Benoit, who is based in Marsens, still is very much a fan of the sport. In 2022, he announced he is building a hybrid road hypercar with former F1 team boss Eric Boullier.
