Became a noted touring car driver, before then racing in GT cars, ALMS and the Le Mans Series. Returned to touring cars, in his homeland, in 2010, but left the sport at the end of the year. Fabrizio was a long-time karter before moving up to Italian F3, and then Formula 3000, but results in both were quite disappointing, but he still earnt a Jordan F1 test driver role in 1996. He left that role after a year, and then found his niche in touring cars in both Italy and Europe. Fabrizio is now involved in business; initially he worked in the marketing, distribution and sales of mineral water, then became the managing director of TCL SpA, the company who, until 2016, when they were bought out, ran the Royal Demeure Hotel Group, which had five hotels - Two in Florence and one each in Rome, Siena and Vicenza. Fabrizio remains involved in the hospitality business world.
