Son of Jackie, Paul was a good driver but chose team management, with his top PSR British Formula 3 team and then with his dad's Formula 1 team. In 2000, Paul announced he had cancer, but happily now, the disease seems beaten. Still attends GP's, but less regularly now, and lives in Bedfordshire. Paul is the executive chairman of the Springfield Youth Club charity. Paul's life before taking up racing was spent in Switzerland and America and he studied for a degree in the latter. He was a race winner in British Formula 3 but his Formula 3000 spell was solid rather than spectacular and faced with being continually compared with his father's successes, Paul chose a different path in the sport in 1994.
