A former Spanish touring car stalwart, Albacete is one of the top racing truck drivers around nowadays, with three titles to his credit, in 2005, 2006 and most recently 2010, and in 2014, he won the Maxi Endurance 32 Hour truck race. He was in the discipline from 1997 until 2015. At the end of that year, Cespa removed all funding and Albacete was forced out of racing for 2016, but returned in 2017. He continues in the sport in 2023. Antonio often promotes truck racing at automotive shows, as well as fulfilling his sponsorship duties. Although Antonio was still focused at the time on single-seaters, he started racing in touring cars back in 1987, before making it his main discipline from 1992.
