Mercedes long time engine developer, Cowell started with Cosworth as a graduate engineer in 1991 before moving his way upwards. In 2004, he moved to Ilmor, and switched over to Mercedes soon after, where he remained right up to 2020. In 2024, he was named as Aston Martin CEO.
