Ferrari (2015-2022)

Long time Italian based engineer and engine expert who had been with Ferrari since 1995. Initially joined the test team, before joining the race day team as a engine expert. He also worked as a chief engineer, head of KERS operations and then was in charge of the whole Ferrari power unit division. He then became technical chief, before becoming the team principal in 2019. After a calamitous array of errors over many years, Binotto paid the price and resigned at the end of 2022. He was on gardening leave until his next role, but took that literally; he runs a vineyard. In 2024, he was named managing director of Texa, who are working on an e-powertrain project, but in a surprise move a few months later, he returned to F1 as part of Audi's forthcoming F1 project.
