Popular fellow who died in a practice for the International Trophy at Silverstone. Son to Lucy O'Reilly, who won the 1929 Coupe des Dames at the Monte Carlo Rally and to Laury Schell who ran a racing team, Ecurie Bleue - Rene Dreyfus won for the outfit at Pau in 1938 - until his death in a car accident in 1939. This prompted Schell, who had some involvement with the team growing up, to be the team owner and somehow managed to get the team to Indianapolis in the middle of World War 2 and occupied Paris. Although Harry was of American and Irish descent, he could only speak French at the time but soon learnt English and then stayed in America to serve in the US Tank Corps back in the land of his birth. By 1949, Harry himself was racing and he became a staple of Grand Prix and sportscar racing until his death.
