Still competes in US historic racing. Works as a mechanic and distributor of car parts. Initially worked as an instructor whilst racing, which included an array of series, including Formula 5000. Breidenbach was son of Don Breidenbach Sr., who formed the Raymar information technology firm, but who also raced at the Bonneville Salt Flats as a teenager. In 2014, Breidenbach Sr drove there again, driving at over 200mph in a speed record attempt, despite being eighty-three at the time! Don Jr. raced in Can-Am and the Shellsport F1 series during his busy spell in the sport, and in 1990, returned to competitive racing to appear in the SCCA Escort World Challenge series.
