Died in a traffic accident, just two weeks from racing retirement. A rich man, he raced for fun. Started on motorbikes and then cars from 1923 onwards, before racing single-seaters, sportscars and hillclimbs. After his death, a race named after him was held at Montjuich for some years. Before the war, Jover raced in cyclecars but didn't really race on four wheels properly until 1946. He was probably at his best in Spanish sportscar club events, winning a number of races including at Barajas in 1957.
