A Longtime McLaren reserve driver, with a few spells in as a substitute, Pedro has made a few returns in recent years, including with Sauber. At the rather incredible age, in modern F1 terms, of 41, he returned to Formula 1 full-time with HRT. However, when the team disbanded in 2012, he went back to a testing role, still in F1, but with Ferrari. He was, in 2014, despite approaching 45 years of age, testing and developing Ferrari F1 cars, but lost his role at the end of that year and hasn't raced since. He is now the technical and sporting advisor to the Techeetah Formula E team. Pedro also runs a driving school and racing team called Drivex and works as a television commentator. He is also a brand ambassador for Aston Martin's Formula 1 team.
