Now lives near Florissant, Colorado. Until very recently, he was still racing, albeit occasionally, in hill dlimbing events, that including Pikes Peak. However, a big crash at Pikes Peak, in which he was lucky to survive in 2011, more or less spelt the end of his career. For some years now, he has been involved in a land and real-estate business in Colorado, specialising in mountain properties. Regester won the 2007 Pikes Peak event in a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire, which was his most notable achievement in the sport, but he also raced in NASCAR trucks briefly, dovetailing that with his IRL attempts, one of which was at Pikes Peak's oval circuit, where he finished 18th, his best result in the cateogry.
