First and foremost a businessman, Scott appeared in the Infinti Pro Series, SCCA events and major endurance events including in the United Sportscar Championship. His main focus is on his son, Sam, who is now racing. Mayer also attempted to qualify twice for the Indianapolis 500 but was denied the chance to run both times. Away from racing, Scott runs a huge staffing and temporary worker agency and is involved with church projects.
