Andrea has a long career in motorsport, beginning with joining local team Minardi in 2001 as a stress engineer. In 2004, he moved to England, and McLaren, to become a senior design engineer and stayed at the Woking-based team for 5 years. Returning to Italy, de Zordo spent nearly twelve years at Ferrari, working as senior design engineer, group leader for advance projects, head of mechanical design and then deputy chief designer. Joining Haas as chief designer in 2021, he was named their technical director in 2024.
