Highly rated driver who was in F1 with Force India, and its previous guise as Spyker, but took an enforced sabbatical in 2012, when a fight in a nightclub with Lotus F1 owner Eric Lux saw him convicted of assault. However, 2013 saw him back with the team in F1 regardless, and in 2014, he moved to Sauber. A moribund year with the Swiss outfit followed, which was made even worse when he was unwittingly involved in Jules Bianchi's death, but he remained in Formula 1, as reserve and simulation driver for Williams until the end of 2015. Since then, Adrian had not been involved in any racing, largely because of Bianchi's death, but made a surprise - and winning - return to racing in 2022 in the Ferrari Challenge Europe Trofeo Pirelli and returned to the series in 2023. Now lives in Monte Carlo, where he owns a huge hypercar collection, which is valued at many, many millions. The son of an Uruguayan concert violinist, Adrian was an accomplished pianist as a youth.
