A wealthy land-owner and local politican, Bonomi had his best results in sportscars, winning the Argentine title in 1952 and 1953. He drove in Ferrari cars, and such was his local prowess that in 1957, he was placed in the works team for their assault on the Buenos Aires 1000km, coming 5th, sharing with Luigi Piotti. His GP attempt was relatively ambitious though, hiring a Cooper, but he did a respectable job all in all.
