Died in 2011 of a heart-attack, but until a couple of years before his death, he still made historic events and kept closely linked to the sport. However, just before his death, in 2010, his son Clemar Bucci Jr. died suddenly and Bucci's general health took a downturn. Bucci also had a large antique car collection, which he spent time restoring and a website dedicated to his career, unusual for a racer of his era. Bucci worked as an automobile parts dealer, and in the 1970's, designed and built the Dogo, a sports and road concept car, whilst at the time of his death he was still involved in designing and building another car, the Bucci Special.
