A friend of Alejandro de Tomaso, Estefano got his break via his friend and achieved some good results locally and also raced in Europe. Of Lebanese ancestry, Estefano won the national single-seater championship in Argentina, the Mecanica Nacional Formula Uno title in 1963 and 1964. Later went into sports and touring cars. Killed when he crashed in a touring car endurance event but he was still crowned posthumous 1973 Turismo Carretera champion none the less.
