Killed in an USAC Champ Car crash in a meeting at Arizona State Fairgrounds. A regular NASCAR driver, he took two wins in 1954, before his switch to Champ Cars for a long time. One of those wins was very notable however, as it saw Keller, a long-time resident of Buffalo, New York, become the first ever person to win a NASCAR race in a foreign car, as he drove a Jaguar XK120 to victory at a race held at Linden Airport. Keller began his racing career in stockcars in 1938. Al worked as a mechanic and as a deputy sheriff in Greenacres City, Florida.
