Became an entrant and team manager for many years. Lived in Marbella, Spain for some while, but sadly died after a heart-attack. Started his career in 1950, but it wasn't long before he linked up with a Cooper-Bristol, the car he was most associated with in his career, running it under his own Ecurie Richmond banner. His finest racing moment was probably the 1954 Empire Trophy win at Oulton Park. Retired in 1956 to become an entrant. Brown was the owner and managing director of the Onslow Motor Company and sales manager of Connaught Engineering. He worked for many car firms in a technical or sales role for much of his working life. He served in World War Two, eventually finishing the war with the rank of Major. Away from the sport and business, he enjoyed playing golf.
