Popular driver who retired from touring cars, and racing, in 2008, after years driving in the discipline, although he returned for a special one-off event for the first race of the 2015 Brazilian Stock Car Series and then again, for another one-off in an endurance event in 2017. Still lives in Sao Paulo, where as well as running in half-marathons and enjoying water sports, his main focus is running his charity, which is specifically aimed at helping children with cancer, with a special complex built for them and their families to enjoy themselves before, during and after their treatment.
