Brazil |
Grands Prix: | 270 (2002-2017) |
Retired from Formula 1 at the end of the 2016 season, after a spell with Williams, but after his team was left in a void by Nico Rosberg's surprise retirement, Felipe returned for another year with the team in 2017. However, at the end of 2017, he confirmed his retirement for good. Started his F1 career as a fast but somewhat wild driver, but matured and almost won the 2008 World Championship. Badly injured in a crash at the Hungarian GP in 2009, he was ruled out for a long period and was lucky to survive without any permanent injury. In 2018, Felipe will be doing some stock car races in his homeland and reappeared in the same category in 2023. He is also in IMSA, which he continued to participate in for 2025.
