Became a leading administrator in Brazillian motor sport for some years until his death from a heart-attack. Landi was general manager of the Interlagos circuit for a good while too. Landi started racing back in 1934 but achieved the peak of his success in his homeland in 1947 and 1948. The former year was when he also appeared in Europe and Chico - short for Francesco - raced in both Europe and South America until 1953. Landi then carried on for a few years before retiring from driving to take another role in the sport.
