Much more successful in Formula Ford and Formula 3, winning the Euroseries Formula Ford title in 1981. Still appears in historic events in his homeland. Martinsson gave Magnum Racing their only Formula 3 win back in 1984, when he won twice at Anderstorp. He continued to drive for the marque in Sweden until 1987, but he also raced in Germany. Bo was also a regular front-runner in the Formula Ford F2000 EFDA Euroseries based largely in the UK, for a while before he won the championship.
