Vastly experienced and successful driver. Won Le Mans in 1993 and has raced in a variety of events, including touring cars, the French Peugeot 905 Cup, GT racing and ice-racing. Now works as a race coach, runs a historic racing team, runs and restores vintage cars as well as working as a broadcaster for French TV and as a tester for road and race cars. He does still race though, and spent a while in Euro Race Cars, which is the European version of NASCAR, winning the 2011 title. In 2015, he appeared in the European Le Mans Series. In 2016, now he is over 50, he is concentrating more on his team and his testing duties, which includes undertaking that role for French TV series Automoto, however, in 2018, he was competing in historic rallying events.
