Friend of Armand Peugeot and brother of George. Very good in hillclimbs in France. Died of burns and injuries sustained in a testing crash for a hillclimb near Chateauroux. Boillot, like his brother was a fighter pilot during World War 1, winning the Croix de Guerre for this efforts. He then subsequently worked as a test pilot for the Bleriot aircraft company, working with the famed Louis Bleroit and his designs, but Andre also started racing post-war. Boillot was also awarded with the Legion d'Honneur in 1929 for his exploits in the air and on the track.
