Not really remembered as a driver, Glover was more behind the scenes, firstly as Mercer team manager, then found fame by developing the two speed rear axle. Then he became head of the Hall Scott Airplane department, before setting up his own manufacturing company, being closely intertwined with Ford. Ruckstell was a Princeton University engineering graduate who was of both Canadian and Swiss ancestry. Although he wasn't a full-time racer he did win the Montamarathon race at Tacoma in 1915, beating a very stgrong field. A captain in the US Air Force, he moved more into the aviation world after becoming a civilian again, founding the Grand Canyon airlines company, where he would fly tourists from Boulder City, Colorado to the Grand Canyon.
