Excellent road racer, who was a popular and hard driving racer. Stopped racing when World War One erupted. Canadian born, Bill lived and worked for a while in the Buffalo, New York area, in the car industry. He then moved to Wyoming, where he became a travelling salesman for Maxwell. Turner died, aged only 39, after a long illness. At the time of his death, he still held Colorado hillclimbing records and had built a successful reputation as a consistent and capable board track racer.
