Born 15 weeks premature at the beginning of 2000, Devlin was not expected to live and was even given the last rites at one stage. But despite weighing just a pound at birth, he survived and by the age of six was racing in karts. Proving his worth there, he moved up the ranks and raced in the US, Britain, New Zealand and Spain, competing in Euroformula Open, European Formula 3 and GP3. He has also raced in Asia and at the Daytona 24 hours, coming 5th overall in 2019. The Spanish Formula 3 champion of 2017, he moved to the US in 2020, with no real route forward left in Europe. He was a consistent front runner in the Indy Lights series in 2021 which moved him towards Indycar for 2022 and he remained there in 2023, although he will also race in sports cars. In 2024, he competed in more of the latter but in 2025, returned to Indycar.
