Dalton progressed to Indycar in 2020 and remained there in 2022. Another driver to rise through the ranks of US F2000 and Pro Mazda, Kellett competed in Indy Lights for four seasons, scoring six podium places and a championship best finish of seventh in 2018 and 2019. Dalton is a keen rockclimber and also has a bachelors degree in engineering physics. In 2023, Dalton announced his retirement from racing to take a senior managment and engineering role in the family construction and electric ultility company, K-Line, based in Ontario.
