Sprint and midget regular who won the New England Dirt Series in 1935, 1936 and 1938, the Eastern Sprint Car Title in 1953 and the Bayside Midget Racing Championship in 1947. Later worked as a contractor, following in the footsteps of his father who ran a contracting business. Joe started his career in 1932, carrying on until 1958, although for many years Joe appeared at the wheel of many a historic event. Sostilio also served his country during World War Two. As well as midgets and sprint cars, Joe also raced in stock cars.
