Midget driver, who was steady but successful, and was inducted into the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame. He also raced stockcars. Later became a helicopter pilot for TV coverage and also ran the Sleepy Hollow Motel near Milwaukee. Died at the grand old age of 100, but was in good health until just before his death. He kept links for as long as he could to racing and the auto trade. Burany's father was of Hungarian origin, hence the name. When Frank celebrated his 100th birthday in 2015, one of the things he did to celebrate his 100th year was to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with son Dick to watch the first day of qualifying. Before becoming a racing driver, Burany worked as a welder, working in metal heat treatment and as a bullet producer.
