Passed away in 2020. For a long time Todd helped Gene Lee, who, like Todd who raced on over one hundred tracks, was a veteran winner himself in open-wheel racing. Formerly built and designed racing cars and engines and was a noted fabricator and mechanic. He worked for Honda building motorcyles for some years. Todd's other sons were in the sport, as well as his grandson Zach, but one of his sons Terry was killed in a race crash in 2008. Gibson was a very good supermodified car racer, who adapted his car to become more roadster-like, similiar to the Indy Car designs in the mid-1960's, unusual at the time. It gave him a superior handling advantage and he won his third race after switching. He continued racing in the discipline until the 1980's, having started racing in 1952. Gibson's real name was Darrell Wayne Gibson.
