Nationality: |
Belgium |
Grands Prix: | 1 (1956) |
Still alive, living in the South of France. Almost exclusively a sportscar racer as a driver, his best result was a class win at the 1953 Mille Miglia. However, his real love was motorcycles and Andre won the 1948 European Motocross Championship. He followed a family tradition of motorcycling - father Rene was a multiple speed record holder in the 1930's, whilst grandfather Jules Milhoux also set speed records in the early 1900's. Andre's father has influenced literature too - the creator of Tintin, Herge, was a friend and fan of Rene and named Tintin's dog Milou (often also called Snowy) after Rene.
