Younger brother of Eddie, he spent a long time in Japan, where he won the 1987 Japanese Formula 3 series and took ten wins in Japanese Formula 3000 over a five year period. Unfortunately his spell in Europe was beset by financial issues as well as somewhat being in the shadow of his brother. When Eddie later started his IRL team, Ross joined him as test and back-up driver. He then spent time as a driver coach at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, but is now out of the sport and working in real-estate in California.
