Another touring car refugee, Kox completed his successful single-seater career for a few years after Formula 3000 and raced in a variety of series, but mostly in tin-tops. In 2001, he won the European Touring Car Championship. Now in a range of endurance series or big races, most recently the Pirelli World Challenge and the GT Rebellion Series and now runs his own team. As well as his ETCC title, Kox won the 1989 European GM Lotus crown and the 1995 Spa 24 Hours as well as being a race winner in FIA GT, British Formula 3000, the British Touring Car Championship and German Formula 3.
