A veteran of Formula 3000, he surprisingly moved back a step in 2003, into the Spanish F3 series - but it worked - he won the title! Mauricio has now moved back to Brazil, where he races stockcars and endurance cars and has won titles relating to both disciplines in 2008, 2009 and 2012. Ricardo also spent some years in Britain whilst in lower formulae and has raced in both Argentina in their touring car series and America; racing in their World of Outlaws championship.
