Real name is Osvaldo. Touring car legend in his homeland, who won the title in 1979. Started racing in 1967 and has been involved with the series ever since. Retired as a driver in 2004, but has since worked in the field as a team boss, organiser, racing instructor and TV broadcaster. Lopez also won the TC2000 GT class championship in 2000 and the Argentine Formula 2 championship in 1971 and twice finished runner-up in the South American Superturismo series. Cocho also raced in other South American touring car series. His son Juan Manuel also raced in touring cars. Cocho started his career back in 1967 as a teenager and then bar a few trips to Europe, remained in his homeland ever since.
