Co-founder of the successful Stebro firm, Peter lived all over the world, including Argentina, Germany and the US, due to his dad's work. Peter himself also wrote a book about Olympic coins in 1973, being a huge and noted coin collector and was President of the Montreal Numismatic Society and a chairman of the Canadian Numismatic Assocation.. He was of US nationality, as well as Canadian, and fought in the US Army. Moved to Canada in 1952, and just before his death settled in Hawkesbury, Ontario. Died after a short fight against cancer. He was born as Klaus Hans Georg Schroeder; the Broeker came from his mother's maiden name.
