Returned to F1 in 2007, but retired before the season's end. Worked as a test driver, and then was linked to either a race drive, or even running his own team, Superfund, in F1 as a team manager. However, the team didn't make it to F1, and so he continued to race in sportscars, and won Le Mans in 2009. In 2015, he announced his retirement from race driving. However he has been heavily involved in the FIA's young driver academy scheme, as well as media work. In 2014, he became the new chairman of the Grand Prix Driver's Association, which he continues, as well as being a consultant to Williams F1, and he also runs, with his rallycross father Franz, TTI, which is a circuit design company. Wurz also works as an advisor to Toyota's WEC team.
