Very successful and experienced midget driver, killed in an ARDC series midget crash. Bonadies raced across New York and New England in midgets, competing in hundreds of races, but also had a short spell in NASCAR. He also competed in NASCAR short-track racing and won a race at Lanham in Maryland in 1951, driving an unfancied Nash Rambler to victory. A veteran of twenty years racing, having driven his first race in 1940, he was twice runner-up in the ARDC Midget Championship. After his death, three races at Freeport Stadium were named in his honour in a special event in August 1964.
