Raced on until the 1970's and also ran some Italian restaurants with his brothers. Health took a downturn after a stroke in the early 1990's. Furci will be best remembered for his exploits in midget cars, which he raced from the 1940's onwards. He was the 1947 ARA Midget Track Record Holder for the Freeport Speedway in New York. He also raced extensively elsewhere, enjoying success in the winter months in dirt track midget racing in Florida. Sadly his Indianapolis attempts both ended in non-qualification which slightly belies his midget prowess.
