Hillclimber mainly, who was based in both New York and California for his racing career, mainly using Sacramento as his base. Born in Hungary, but a long-time US resident by the time he appeared in racing, Nemesh was predominantly a mechanic by trade and got into racing by becoming a riding mechanic. He appeared at the 1922 Indianapolis 500 as LL Corum's riding mechanic before appearing at the 1926 Indianapolis 500 under his own steam, finishing 21st. One year later, he was mechanic and relief driver for Dave Evans.
