After a spell as a driver coach to Indy Lights drivers and working as an automotive and racing journalist - especially for Yahoo Autos - Lloyd became the Head of Content of Beepi, which is an online used car sales platform. He did tests, write-ups and marketing for the company which is based in California, where Alex now lives. In 2017, he moved to Navdy, a GPS Sat-Nav manufacturer, as their director of creative and content. This included redesigning packaging, webpage optimisation, marketing campaigns and so on. In 2018, he moved to another company, Anchor Free, in another marketing content role. Alex also won the 2003 McLaren Young Driver Autosport Award.
