Indy Pro champion in 2007, who moved up to the IRL in 2008, along with some Grand-Am races. Since then it was only one-off racing, so although he had a spell in the Pirelli GT Championship in 2014, he is now retired from racing. After a spell as a driver coach to Indy Lights drivers and working as an automotive and racing journalist - especially for Yahoo Autos - Lloyd became the Head of Content of Beepi, which is an online used car sales platform. He did tests, write-ups and marketing for the company which is based in California, where Alex now lives. In 2017, he moved to Navdy, a GPS Sat-Nav manufacturer, as their director of creative and content. In 2018, he moved to another company, Anchor Free, in another marketing content role. After a few other business roles, he is currently Head of Organic Acquisition (SEO & Content) at January AI.Alex also won the 2003 McLaren Young Driver Autosport Award.
