Graduate to the IRL in 2011, moved to ALMS in 2012, and stayed there in 2013. Moved to the new United Sportscar Series in 2014, but also made his Indy 500 debut that year. In 2017, Martin moved back to the United Kingdom to both race in British GT and become a driver coach with Ultratek Racing. He also works as a patron and spokesman for Anxiety UK after battling anxiety issues both before and during his racing career. Plowman's progress as a young driver meant he was on a driver program scheme with both Toyota and Volkswagen before moving to the US in 2009. Martin now runs his own team in the GT Cup but will continue to race in GT cars as well.
